Welcome to my website! My name is Melinda and I am a professional beekeeper, hairdresser, accredited counsellor, and meditation teacher. I grew up on a sustainable mini homestead in Hungary and have carried on the tradition of beekeeping in Australia. With my passion for bees and sustainability, I also have experience in food gardening and raising backyard chickens. Let me share knowledge and experience with you!
My Story
Welcome to Bee My Passion, where we are dedicated to promoting sustainable beekeeping practices and raising awareness about the importance of bees. Founded in 2019 as Honey n' Hair, we started as a hair salon and mini farm, but our passion for beekeeping quickly took over. Over the past five years, we focused on teaching sustainable practices to beekeepers and educating the public about our impact on the environment and the bees. We developed programs for successful backyard chicken keeping as a side hustle. Our workshops and talks have been well-received in schools and gardening clubs, and we have even been involved in research on bee mating and genetic work for the preparation of Varroa mite incursion. Our mission for the next two years is to continue our work in genetic research and education to ensure the future of beekeeping.
